Windows is a operating system that is was made and maintained by Microsoft and usually costs around £20 for the latest version of a windows operating system. An advantage of using windows OS is that it supports a lot of game manufacturers products, and so a lot of games can be ran on a windows PC which is one of the reasons why it is one of the more popular operating systems. Also the operating system, windows is very hardware compatible as it can run on just about any processor. However the operating system does have its down sides, one is that the operating system requires a lot of memory and it may take up a lot of space so memory and storage expansion may need to be considered. Also the security on windows OS isn't that great, as malware threats are more common so users's systems aren't as secure, however the security is getting better over time.
