RAM

RAM stands for random access memory and it is a type of computer memory that can be accessed randomly, which means that any byte of memory can be accessed without touching the preceding bytes RAM is the most common type of memory that is found in computers and other devices, e.g. printers or phones. And each type is available in different sizes, like 8 or 16GB.

DDR3 ram is a modern type of dynamic random access memory (DRAM) with a high bandwidth bandwidth and a double data rate, this type of RAM has been used since 2007.

MHZ is used a lot to show microprocessor clock speed. It is usually used in certain measurements of bandwidth which will help with having higher speeds of digital/analog data, and video signals. Another measurement of frequency is kilohertz (KHZ), which is equal to 1000 Hz and there is also gigahertz which is equal to 1,000,000,000 HZ.

RAM timings measure the performance of DRAM by using four parameters. These are usually written as 4 different numbers with dashes in between each number, e.g. 4-5-6-7. The fourth number is often left out and the fifth number is the command rate which is added sometimes. Each of the different parameters display the time delays that will affect the speed of the RAM. The lower numbers usually means that there is a faster performance. The main factor that determines the system performance is the latency time, this is measured in nano seconds, for the majority of the time.
