3D Animation Studio

Software to be used:

-
For creating different 3D animations, alot of different types of software would need to be used to make the animations. One of these is an operating system, typically windows 10 pro would be used as its extremely reliable and user friendly. Some sort of 3D animation software would also be needed to actually animate the models and bring the characters to life, a software such as Auto-desk 3ds Max. A 3D modelling software would also be needed to use to create the different characters and props that help explain and show the story of the animation. There are lots of 3D modelling software out there some are free and some cost, blender is an example of a 3D modelling software that is free but used by a lot of professionals to make some very detailed and unique models. Auto-desk fusion 360 which is another professional 3D modelling software that costs around £260 but does provide users with a very smooth experience.
Network sharing needs:

-
For this type of studio, network sharing is a must as a lot of the staff will work as a team to get the job don and to get the different animations completed. so there needs to be a system that connects to all of the computers together so that a n employer can just go onto the network and access the files that are needed to help that employer with their role in the whole project. This would make the process easier and less stressful to each member of the team.
Need for maintenance contract:

-
The software that is used to create 3D animations can have problems and more of them can occur over time. But these could be fixed with more research and training. However hiring someone would make the project maintained more and programs would also be updated regularly. Some of the files could be corrupted so something could breach the security but he maintenance team would solve this issue by using an anti-virus software.
Outputs required:

-
To be able to work efficiently and productively, high end equipment would be needed to produce such animations and projects. So monitors with 4K quality would allow the worker to see every detail on the screen and headphones/ speakers to help the work focus on the work with no distractions at all.
Need for integration with other systems such as home entertainment:
-
The studio would need to integrate with other systems so that different systems can use the same type of software, this would mean that everyone has the same advantage in terms of access to different tools and features. Although the different applications could be used on any PC, the final animation product would still need to work on many different work stations and systems.
Processing power:

-
A studio that creates 3D animations render and create animations daily would need a lot of processing power would be needed to render each animation and 3D model that is created. But if there is a limited amount of PC's that are really powerful and contain very high end and expensive parts then the production team will decrease therefore more work can be done in less time.
Storage capacity:

-
The final animations would have a very big file size as rendered each pixel takes up a lot of space. Because of the this the studio would need to have big storage areas as well as a back up storage area, e.g. a server where all the files and programs that are used can be safe and secure as well as already being back up on the main PC's.
Accessibility for disabled users:

-
Some people that have a disability may not be able to see correctly and may have an impaired sight, which will make it harder to work on the projects, therefore some people may not be able to work in that area but the studio could hep these users by improving the sound part of the software so it can still be used but this might not be able to happen as its a very complicated solution and may take a longer amount of time.
The ICT competence of the intended user:

-
People who use the software will need to have a basic It competence so that they have a general understanding of what to do and how to to use different software. But a person who is on the maintenance team would be able to help users with this issue, and update the software regularly. The employers however would need experience and skill sin the rendering/ modelling/ 3D animation area as company want the best of the best to work for them.
Training requirements:
-
The employer would need some training into the company and the area so that they know what they are doing when they start work. Also so that they have more of an idea of the different types of software and programs taht they are going to use. But they should already have training in 3D modelinig and 3D animation as its their profession.
Cost:

-
Most of the software that is needed to create basic and even professional, high quality animations are free but if the company is quite big them multiple software licenses would need to be purchased for different employers and their PCs as the bigger the company is the more and better software is needed to produce high quality content and animations.
