Command Line VS GUI
A command-line interface, is used to communicate and interact with a PC by typing text commands into a terminal window. A graphical user interface, allows users to interact with a computer by using a keyboard or mouse to change and organise visual elements on the screen. E.g. accessing files and changing the background. Users who first start using command line will find it more difficult because of the memorisation and familiarity needed to use it properly. Whereas a GUI is much easier to use as its more visual so its easier to memorise to be able to use it. But by using the command line, users have more control over file and system operation so they can access more files and copy them to another location much quicker. The GUI offers easier access to files and a easier way of operating the system because the visuals may be easier to understand.
