Machine and peripheral management
Machine/Peripheral management is a piece of software that controls peripheral devices by sending commands to them in by using their own computer management. The software has a routine that knows how to respond to different devices that are known as drivers. The operating system needs drivers for the peripherals connected to the computer. It responds to them by identifying, selecting and installing drivers for the different peripherals needed to operate the PC.
