Optical cable - This is used to connect audio devices and other accessory's between a computer and a audio/sound device, e.g. TV, it does this to transmit audio to different devices.

Coaxial cable - A coaxial cable is mostly used to connect to a TV and its also cable that has material inside of it that is conducting and it is covered with an insulating tube / cable. The cable is also coated with another insulating material and between that there is a metallic type of material.

SATA cable - The SATA cable is used to connect the storage device, e.g. hard drive into the motherboard so that data can be transferred and then processed by the CPU. Another cable is has to be used as well so that the power supply provides power to the storage area for the PC/ hard drive.

IDE cable - The IDE cable has 40 pin and it is used to connect optical drives, such as CD/DVD drives to the motherboard in the PC

Power Cable - The power cable is used to connect the power supply to each component that needs power in the PC, which is most of the components. One of the power cables is a 12 volt, 4 pin connector that connects to the motherboard of power the CPU and other components up. There is also a cable that connects to the hard drive so that the storage area is powered up. Another cable is a 20 pin ATX power cable that gives power to the CPU, which will be a low voltage so it doesn't fry. There is also a 6 pin auxiliary cables that provide even more power to the central processing unit.
