
Network Card


Network cards are used in PCs to improve the connection for the PC to the internet, this can be done wired by using an Ethernet cable and it can then be plugged into the router, from the computer which provides a much stronger connections as its more stable and permanent. Or the PC can be connected to the internet wireless by connecting to the WI-FI which is being provided by the router for multiple devices to connect to it and use, or an antenna could be used to connect to the router, but this method is mainly used on older PC builds.

A media converter is simply a device that allows signals to be converted, by using a copper cable that is then transmitted through the fiber optic which provides the establishment with a much bigger range of transmission for the wired connection.
